Within ZEAL, the management of a complex regulatory environment is paramount to the company's success. As a Public Policy Manager / Regulatory Compliance Manager (f/m/x), the incumbent plays a crucial role in safeguarding and advancing ZEAL's business interests, particularly in the German market but with potential for broader European engagements. Reporting to the VP of Public Policy & Corporate Communications, this role offers flexibility with locations in the UK, Germany, or Spain, with periodic travel to the Hamburg office if not based there.

Your Responsibilities:

• Managing and safeguarding gambling licenses for lotteries and online games at the national gambling authority (GGL)
• Engaging with key stakeholders at GGL, providing reports, and managing requests
• Contributing to the development and implementation of public policy strategies
• Driving license applications for new products and services
• Providing internal regulatory guidance and ensuring compliance with Glücksspielstaatsvertrag (GlüStV)
• Supporting new business initiatives and departments like marketing, sales, and product development
• Engaging with other authorities and political stakeholders
• Supporting the VP of Public Policy & Corporate Communications

Your Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant working experience in public policy and/or regulatory compliance, preferably in a highly regulated industry, law firm, public affairs agency, or consultancy
• Academic background (e.g., economics or law)
• Strong analytical capabilities and understanding of complex regulatory frameworks
• Attention to detail and goal orientation
• Solution-oriented and execution-driven mindset
• Strong communication skills in English and German
