Responsibilities

• Oversee projects at multiple locations, comprehensive budget tracking, forecasting and management of assigned solar projects, ensuring time and budget targets are met, preparing positive, clear, concise and transparent reports for the construction manager
• Taking responsibility for approved projects and managing these projects through all phases, from planning permission and RTB status to construction, connection to the national grid and commissioning
• Conducting site visits to review local conditions affecting design and construction and to determine project-specific requirements
• Managing relationships with authorities, TSO/DSO national electricity system operators and consultants in all phases of the project
• Assist the construction manager in preparing a detailed project budget and a construction schedule for the project, which must be closely monitored throughout the life of the project
• Ensuring compliance of the project with permit requirements, national procedures for connection to the electricity grid, applicable laws and standards, company technical requirements and international technical standards
• Management of the building permits required for the project as a prerequisite for the project start, cooperation with authorities and electricity network operators
• Managing and negotiating contracts with EPC contractors and/or subcontractors, service providers, external consultants, etc. to ensure full compliance with all contractual obligations
• Oversee the technical review process for the detailed design carried out by the contractors
• Management of the construction managers during the construction phase

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering or similar.
• Fluent in English and German, Italian is an advantage
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable position in the solar industry, proven positive and increasing level of responsibility, complexity of tasks and management performance
• Experience with battery storage systems (BESS) is an advantage
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary activities in construction: electrical, mechanical, civil, HSEQ, environmental
• EU driving license
• Knowledge of national and international technical standards for the construction sector and for photovoltaic systems
• Knowledge of local market costs for construction-related activities and skills in budgeting construction projects
• Knowledge of the connection procedures to the national high and extra-high voltage grid with national TSO/DSO network operators is an advantage
• Knowledge of the approval procedures for photovoltaic systems and the local procedures for obtaining building permits is an advantage
• Experience in negotiating and managing EPC solar construction contracts
• Analytical approach, ability to abstract and synthesize
• Team leadership and management skills and the ability to promote a collaborative work environment
• Align individual and team goals with company goals
