PR and Communications Manager (part-time)

Vorwerk Ventures is an independent € 150m Venture Capital Fund based in Berlin with € 400m under management. We invest in founders with sustainable business models that have a positive impact. We define ourselves through a strong commitment towards consumer-facing digital businesses, but we also go beyond and invest in selected B2B companies that match our sector expertise.

You will manage all our PR and communication efforts in order to strengthen our brand as a leading Venture Capital fund. Thus, you should have a profound understanding of the venture capital and startup sector as well as a network relevant media outlets in this space. Ideally, you have several years of experience in a similar role, or at an agency or as a journalist. The role is part-time for 20-25 hours per week.

Tasks

• You are responsible for all communication channels to strengthen our brand as a leading Venture Capital Fund in Europe.
• You create and execute our PR and communication strategy in accordance with our fund strategy.
• You build and manage relationships with all relevant media outlets. This also includes promoting our portfolio companies and creating press releases for recent funding rounds in close collaboration with founders and co-investors.
• You define topics together with our investment team in order to create innovative content and place it in relevant media outlets.
• You define opportunities to promote our fund and our team members to the media (i.e. articles, interviews, podcasts) and events/conferences (i.e. panels, presentations).
• You are in charge of all of our online channels (i.e. social media, website) and proactively create content/posts with regard to our fund or portfolio companies.
• You support all communication to our stakeholders (e.g. LPs) and event organization.
• You monitor the media landscape for all news around our fund and portfolio companies.
  
  
  

Requirements

• You have several years of experience in PR and communications, ideally already in a VC fund or in the startup sector.
• You have a track record in creating and executing PR and communication strategies from start to finish.
• You have a profound understanding of Venture Capital and the startup scene and the related stakeholders.
• You have an existing network and relationships among journalists of relevant German and international media outlets.
• You have experience in creating high-quality content for a variety of communication channels.
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You speak fluent German and English.
• You are a team player that likes to proactively drive topics.
• You have experience in event organization.
• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field.
