Plant Quality Manager

Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Lower Saxony

Industry: Automotive Manufacturing

The Quality Manager will be responsible for planning and developing quality strategies and policies, overseeing the quality assurance processes, and ensuring the highest standards of product quality and safety. This role involves directing, planning, and organising the work of the quality team, as well as supervising and improving quality control procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute quality control tasks.
• Monitor and optimise quality assurance processes.
• Initiate and oversee continuous improvement processes.
• Control costs and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Manage optimal inventory levels to support quality control.
• Maintain ongoing contacts with customers and suppliers to address quality issues.
• Ensure timely delivery of quality products to customers.
• Supervise occupational health and safety and environmental protection in quality processes.

Qualifications:

• Ideally 4+ years of work experience in a managerial position in the Quality department.
• Experience with quality assurance, supply chain management, customer contact, and process improvement.
• Proficient in English.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards in the automotive industry.
• Familiarity with SAP software.
• Automotive Manufacturing or similar industry experience
• Experience leading supplier, process and product audits
• Knowledge of Quality methods such as; APQP, FMEA, PPAP & 8D
