Camplify Holdings Limited (CHL): is a global adventure travel technology company. Formed in 2021 we have three travel brands: Camplify, PaulCamper, and MyWay.

Camplify: was founded in Newcastle, Australia, in 2015, and is a peer-to-peer van-sharing platform operating across Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Spain. PaulCamper: another peer-to-peer van-sharing platform, was founded in Germany in 2013 and has since expanded to Austria, the Netherlandsm and the UK. PaulCamper was acquired by CHL Group in 2022 and continues to operate from its HQ in Berlin.

MyWay: launched in 2023 - provides a suite of insurance products to RV owners and hirers, giving them the confidence to fully engage with CHL Group's peer-to-peer platforms.

Our office is located in Berlin Kreuzberg, and we are happy to hire someone who enjoys being at the office about two days a week.

About The Position

We're looking for a talented Mobile App Engineer to join our team in Berlin! As a Mobile App Engineer at PaulCamper you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our mobile application with a priority on our European markets, focusing on user experience (UX) design and frontend development using React and React Native technologies.

About The Role

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Developers to understand requirements and deliver high-quality mobile app solutions across the globe
• Design and implement user-friendly interfaces with a focus on UX principles to enhance the overall user experience of our mobile apps
• Develop new features and functionalities for our iOS and Android apps using React Native, ensuring compatibility across different devices and platforms
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness, identifying and resolving technical issues as needed
• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile app development trends, tools, and technologies, and share knowledge within the team
  
  
  

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

• Solid experience in mobile app development using React Native, with a strong understanding of React.js for web development
• Demonstrated experience in frontend development, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• German & English business fluency

• Experience with UI/UX design principles and tools such as Figma
• Knowledge of backend technologies such as Node.js, Express.js, or similar
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
