Our client is a dynamic and innovative player in the pharmaceutical industry, committed to driving excellence and innovation. We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual to join the team as the Head of Marketing for Germany. This role presents a unique opportunity for a visionary leader to significantly impact the Business Unit and brand performance.


Head of Marketing (m/f/d)


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to enhance BU and brand performance.
  • Achieve budgeted profit, brand objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Collaboration and Profitability:

  • Collaborate with country General Managers to achieve BU and brand profitability.
  • Effectively manage P&L and allocate resources for optimal outcomes.

Growth Opportunities:

  • Identify and execute growth opportunities, ensuring regional relevance and alignment with growth ambitions.

Team Management:

  • Directly manage local Brand Managers, ensuring the effective implementation of global strategies.
  • Focus on the line management of the brand team.

Marketing Excellence:

  • Ensure marketing excellence, compliance with guidelines, and consistency.

Team Development:

  • Lead team development, training, and recruitment to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Revenue Optimization:

  • Optimize resourcing for maximum brand revenue.

Standards and Compliance:

  • Uphold best-in-class standards for cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to commercial compliance standards regionally.


Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive commercial experience in senior professional positions within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Holds a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Deep understanding of marketing, regional market dynamics, healthcare systems, and codes.
  • Strong strategic marketing planning skills, including lifecycle plan development.
  • Preferred experience in successfully launching new assets in the region.
  • Proficient in financial management, including P&L responsibilities.
  • Track record of leading diverse products and teams in various markets.
  • Effective and diplomatic communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Adept at operating at a senior level in a matrix environment, influencing and leading local BU Managers.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership and influencing skills for high team performance.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English, with advanced MS Office skills.
