Legal Counsel - Renewable Energy Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Counsel to join our clients team in Germany, specialising in renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and battery storage.

As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal support and guidance on a wide range of matters related to renewable energy projects and the wider business.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide legal advice and support on all aspects of renewable energy projects, including project development, financing, construction, and operation.
2. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and regulatory filings.
3. Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards impacting renewable energy projects.
4. Collaborate with internal teams, external counsel, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal requirements and mitigate legal risks.
5. Assist in the development and implementation of legal strategies to support the company's renewable energy initiatives.
6. Stay updated on legal developments and trends in the renewable energy sector to provide proactive legal advice and support.

Requirements:

1. Admission to the German Bar Association passing both state examinations
2. Proven experience in renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar, wind, and battery storage projects.
3. Strong knowledge of German and EU energy laws, regulations, and policies.
4. Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
6. Fluency in English and German languages.
