IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

The IT department is firmly integrated into the organizational structures of the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW. IT provides a team of highly qualified experts whose tasks are divided into two main areas: IT infrastructure and clinical systems/development. The team consists of 24 permanent full-time employees and is supported by trainees and employees doing their federal voluntary service. In total, HDZ NRW IT supports over 2,500 employees.

Your tasks

at the HDZ NRW

• Administration and further development of the client management environment and the assets it contains
• Administration of the applications used in the company, including software distribution and OS deployment
• Support for identity access management, including rights and roles for automated user administration
• 1st and 2nd level support for our employees
• Administration of Microsoft RDS and mobile device management
• Planning and implementation of patch, update and upgrade activities as well as the rollout of hardware

• A completed vocational training in the field of computer science or comparable qualifications with several years of professional experience
• Very good know-how in Windows client and server operating systems
• Very good knowledge and practical experience in Microsoft Active Directory incl. DNS, DHCP and group policies
• Experience in client management (e.g. Matrix42) incl. software distribution, OS deployment, patch management, as well as identity access management, virtualization (VMware vSphere, RDS) and Linux distributions is an advantage
• Very high customer and service orientation, problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team
• Structured, solution-oriented, conscientious and independent way of working
• Enthusiasm for technology and a passion for new IT technologies
• Very good knowledge of German (at least C1 level spoken and written) and good knowledge of English
