Investment Analyst

Looking for an Investment Analyst for a Mid-Cap Private Equity LBO team, Hamburg office.

We're excited to offer a compelling opportunity for a permanent Investment Associate position with our client, a generalist international Mid-Cap Private Equity fund.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive market research and financial analysis to assess potential investment opportunities across diverse sectors.
• Assist in conducting due diligence on target companies, including financial modelling, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
• Collaborate closely with senior team members to evaluate risks and opportunities, and present findings to the investment committee.
• Support in negotiating and structuring investment transactions, including deal documentation and legal considerations.
• Monitor portfolio companies and track performance metrics to identify opportunities for value creation and strategic growth initiatives.
• Stay ahead of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory developments to inform investment strategies and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, CFA, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or management consulting, with a solid grasp of financial analysis and valuation techniques.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools such as Excel, Bloomberg, and Capital IQ.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Ability for investment analysis and a commitment to excellence, integrity, and continuous learning.
• Native or full professional German language skills.
