IT Administrator

6 month contract

Location - Bochum/Dusseldorf

Hybrid - 2-3 days per week onsite

As an IT administrator you will be responsible for the technical support and optimization of the IT infrastructure. Your goal is to provide our customers with competent support for problems and requirements in the areas of Linux, Windows, networks and WordPress administration. In doing so, you will ensure that our systems function securely, up-to-date and efficiently. You will work in a dynamic team that continuously strives to improve our IT solutions.

Role

• You will be responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux and Windows servers as well as the associated services such as Active Directory and Domain Controller.
• You will administer networks, including Office VPN and Wi-Fi, and ensure security through firewall management and network configurations.
• You will use and manage Docker and related container technologies.
• You will look after WordPress sites in terms of administration, security and performance.
• You administer storage solutions, especially Synology devices.
• You configure and maintain phone systems, including Asterisk and Free PBX.

Skills/Experience

• You have several years of experience in IT administration, especially in Linux, Windows, network management and WordPress.
• You have good knowledge of the administration of Active Directory and domain controllers as well as experience with VPN, Wi-Fi and firewall configurations.
• You have practical experience with Docker and container management.
• You have experience managing VoIP systems, especially Asterisk and Free PBX.
• You are tech-savvy in managing storage systems, preferably Synology.
• You are a team player with strong communication skills and an independent way of working.
• You speak fluent German and have a good command of English.
