The Role and Responsibilities

• Providing counsel to management and specialists on legal issues.
• Drafting and reviewing contracts in both German and English.
• Negotiating agreements with clients and service providers.
• Managing external legal services, addressing legal matters, and responding to inquiries from all relevant departments.
• Engaging in specialised, subject-related projects.

Required Qualifications

• German legal education, including completion of traineeship (1st and 2nd state exams)
• Extensive knowledge of civil law, with a preference for expertise in payment transactions law.
• Professional experience in the finance industry or in a law firm providing advisory to business in the finance sector.
• Strong technical and economic understanding, alongside analytical skills.
• Proficiency in processing and communicating complex issues effectively.
• Excellent social skills, communication abilities, and assertiveness.
• Fluency in English and German, ideally supported by overseas experience.
