Head of Supply Chain Automotive

SKF Automotive Business Area seeks an experienced, and ambitious leader to join the Automotive Business Area. We are looking for a proactive, can-do, hands-on, dynamic personality that promotes a positive culture. The Head of Supply Chain will be globally responsible for all Supply Chain activities for the OE Automotive Business Area, a business area with production and customers in every part of the world. Initially, you will be focused on building and hiring key competences to be added to the Supply Chain Automotive team as the scope of this team is increasing.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the OE Automotive Supply Chain, both from suppliers into plants as well as from plants to customers where your ultimate goal is to create a world-class end-to-end supply chain.

To achieve this, you will work in close collaboration with key Automotive stakeholders such as Procurement, Manufacturing and Sales but also with the other internal SKF Business Areas where you will collaborate with other Supply Chain peers to find synergies for the whole SKF Group.

Moreover, you will ensure that there is solid performance management culture in place where you and your team are focused on the key KPI´s. This includes KPIs such as making sure that transport services are cost competitive, that there is an inventory strategy that ensures SKF Automotive meet the desired service levels in a cost-and-working capital efficient manner as well as owning the route-to-market for OE Automotive customers.

Further, you will also have a high focus on data collection and usage in areas such as customer delivery service, logistical cost, working capital and here you are committed to ensuring constant improvement in data quality and granularity.

You will also ensure that SKF´s high standards on sustainability are catered for where you are committed to identify opportunities to reduce CO2 per product, increase recycled content and safeguarding ethical business.

Your initial task will be focused on building your team through strategic planning, defining new roles and required competences and then proceed to recruit top talent to drive the Supply Chain organization in a way that delivers on SKF´s goals. You will build a working culture that is based on speak up culture and trust.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a technical field required, additional business qualification is beneficial.
  • Proven experience in Supply Chain management, at least partly in leadership roles.
  • Very deep understanding of data, algorithms, data quality, data processing and root-cause attribution.
  • Capability to coordinate and switch between dual perspectives (strategic macro direction and detailed micro assurance).
  • Proven skills in driving a global supply chain organization across various cultures and regions with strong manufacturing and logistics experience as well as strong innovation mindset.
  • Strong ability to interact and effectively influence leadership across cultures and regions and demonstrated success in building a global and agile team setup with excellent communication and stakeholder skills.
  • Fluent in the tools and technologies required to successfully digitize and visualize real-time Supply Chain data.
  • High ability in writing and in presentations; proficiency in English.
  • Willingness to travel when needed – SKF is a global organization with colleagues, suppliers and customers around the world.

Some Additional Information

The preferred work location is Europe, in one of the major SKF Sites, as Airasca (Italy), Schweinfurt or Luechow (Germany), Gothenburg (Sweden), on local contract.

You will report to the Head of Automotive Procurement and Supply Chain.
