Head of Procurement (m/f/d)

• €100, 000 - €130, 000 base salary + bonus

I am currently representing a market leading automotive company based in Stuttgart that is actively hiring for a Head of Procurement to lead their purchasing function across Europe and beyond. They're searching for an experienced individual that has a proven track record of delivering savings and results within the automotive industry and is ready to hit the ground running from day one.

Responsibilities:

• Being the responsible personnel for all purchasing activities across direct & indirect spend, working cross-culturally with multiple departments worldwide
• Leading a team of procurement professionals located throughout Europe, reporting into senior management
• Heavily strategic orientated role where you will be responsible for sourcing new suppliers, developing existing relationships and making the entire supply chain more streamlined and efficient
• Negotiating contracts and managing processes with the idea of making savings and cutting costs where possible
• Tracking progress and results by utilising KPI's
• Developing and motivating the procurement function

Experience Required:

• 7+ years of procurement experience within the automotive industry, with several years of experience in a managerial position
• Bachelors degree, ideally within a technical field
• Based in the nearby area to Stuttgart or within a commutable distance
• Fluent English & German language
• The ability to lead a team autonomously without too much hand holding from senior management
