Head of Platform Engineering

Job Title: Head of Platform Engineering

Location: Ideally Berlin or Munich

Salary: Up to €120,000 base salary + benefits

We have partnered with an International market leader within the manufacturing industry, and they're looking for an experienced leader to help with their future strategy.

The Role:

• Leading/coaching a team of up to fourteen, within the Platform division.
• Planning and implementing both team and company wide strategies to ensure best practice.
• Developing data platforms and other internal platforms including architectures
• Responsibility for defining and adhering to development processes and internal coding standards

What you need for the role:

• Strong skills in developing cloud infrastructure platforms (AWS)
• At least 4 years experience leading a Software Engineering team.
• A background within Backend Development.
• Strong technical knowledge in cloud architecture, data processing/database technologies including, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Glue, AWS Lambda and Redshift.
• Practical knowledge of agile software development (Bonus)
