We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Logistics (a) to lead our logistics department. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations, ensuring the timely and efficient procurement, allocation and distribution of materials required for our special lightweight structures and facade construction projects. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, production and project management to optimise material availability and support the successful execution of projects.


You can expect these challenges:


  • Manage and lead our logistics team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure logistics operations align with overall business objectives
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on logistics performance and KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Manage warehouse operations including inventory management and distribution
  • Develop and implement comprehensive materials planning and scheduling strategies, taking into account project timelines, production capacity and inventory levels
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any supply chain disruptions or issues
  • Coordinate with production teams to align material availability with production schedules, preventing production delays due to material shortages
  • Utilise the company's ERP system to manage material planning, procurement and inventory tracking
  • Identify potential risks related to materials availability, supplier performance and demand fluctuations as well as develop mitigation strategies to address them


You will inspire us with this:


  • University degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or a related field
  • Long-term experience in materials scheduling, procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an engineering or construction-related industry
  • Experience in leading and developing teams
  • Strong knowledge of materials planning concepts, inventory management techniques and supply chain best practices
  • Experience with ERP systems and software used for materials planning and inventory control
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software applications
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers
  • Good German and fluent English skills
