Drive the Change! Join Us as Head of Digital Transformation (m/f/d)

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Digital Transformation to lead a growing team of currently eight experienced technical managers. This role is pivotal in driving digital transformation projects within our globally operating business unit Catalysts. The digitalization team collaborates closely with stakeholders from all business functions to develop and implement technical concepts that meet their business needs. These implementations are executed using agile methods in joint efforts with other technical teams of Clariant. The leadership team has identified digitalization as a crucial value driver for the future catalyst business and unanomously supports our digitalization efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global digitalization team within the Catalysts business unit.
  • Continuously improve and implement our global digitalization roadmap, based on the input from the business functions.
  • Ensure alignment with stakeholders from all functional departments, especially production, supply chain management, research & development, sales, and engineering services.
  • Lead digital change management initiatives, including project definition, conceptualization, and communication across the entire business unit Catalysts.
  • Lead the team to develop and implement tools and best practices based on services in our AWS cloud.
  • Continue the deployment of advanced analytics tools and solutions for processes in production, supply chain management, research & development, sales, and engineering services.
  • Optimize process efficiency with data-driven methods and implement predictive maintenance tools in our production sites to improve our plants’ reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • You possess a technical academic degree with several years of professional experience.
  • We are looking for somebody who has very good project management skills with agile methods Scrum/Kanban and a strong knowledge about business processes and their optimizations.
  • You have management level experience in the development of IT-processes, business applications, workflows, data analysis/modelling and cloud services to optimize business and production processes, ideally in the process industry.
  • With strong leadership abilities and great interpersonal skills, you energize and empower a global team. You have a business development mindset and skills.
  • Being a proactive and energetic personality with a high learning agility and the ability to drive changes as well as being result-driven help you on your way to success.
  • You are an excellent communicator with very good English skills.
  • You are willing to travel occasionally for business purposes to other Clariant sites.
