Major Responsibilities

• Provide product/programmes with the latest BOM cost structure and insight through monitoring, analysis and tracking of sourcing status, including BOM cost change and CAPEX (tooling) management
• Create BOM cost information for pursuit, business nomination and SOP+90 days with responsible commodity buyers and skill teams, in particular with product development and planning based on best practice
• Provide BOM cost change drivers and Provide rationale/equation to key skill teams, in particular with sales (customer recovery), product development (further improvement required component) and program management (program profitability management)
• Develop a programme-specific supplier nomination and part delivery schedule plan that can achieve customer development milestones
• Lead supplier nomination status tracking tasks with commodity buyers and ensure that the supplier on-boarding schedule meets key development phases
• Lead design change-driven BOM cost and CAPEX impact management tasks with responsible commodity buyers and skill team members.
• Collaborate with different functions and regions to optimise SCM performance, in particular with product development, programme management and sales
• Build, train, lead and mentor a high-performing SCM team, including broadening SCM skill sets and ensuring succession and career paths
  
  

Knowledge and Education

• Completed training with advanced technical training or studies in the fields of mechanical engineering, production engineering or industrial engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in purchasing raw materials/programmes, preferably in the automotive industry
• Good IT skills (MS Office) and good knowledge of SAP applications
• Strong knowledge of the market, industry and contract law
• Strong strategic thinking and negotiation skills
• Hands-on mentality, proactive approach
• Organisational talent and coordination skills
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English
