Group Reporting is the financial and non-financial / sustainability publishing unit of the Allianz Group.

We report timely and relevant financial and non-financial information to executive management, the capital markets, investors, regulators and other stakeholders and are responsible for the production of the Annual Report, the Non-Financial Statement, the Non-financial supplement and the Analyst presentation’s ESG appendix.

As an EU Taxonomy business analyst, we are looking for a team player with familiarity with EU Taxonomy disclosure reporting or sustainability reporting experience to work on the EU Taxonomy disclosure as well as on further ESG reporting projects.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Be able to frame issues effectively to enable resolution (be it data collection, regulatory guidance, advice on reasonable assurance, etc.)
  • Be able to document decisions, key guidance, and processes to furnish audit requirements as necessary
  • Liaise with auditors effectively using sound accounting knowledge and good control mindset
  • Assist with data collection effort and coordination where necessary
  • Support the development, planning and execution of EU Taxonomy project including milestone plans and task dependencies
  • Educate Operating Entities on how to use various ESG templates used to collect relevant data for EU Taxonomy reporting
  • Keep abreast of the latest EU Taxonomy reporting requirements and ensure these changes are reflected in the disclosure

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in the fields of sustainability reporting, project management, investment, insurance, audit, and/or consulting- accounting knowledge
  • Minimum 5 years experience specifically in accounting or audit function (big 4 company experience is a plus)
  • Strong ability to think and act independently and to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations
  • Fluent in working with and manipulating large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills- good at explaining things clearly, understanding instinctively when to communicate and be able to break down complex topics into key principles and solution steps
  • Proactive, flexible and energetic team player with a curiosity to understand things deeply and ask questions
  • Good control mindset- familiar with procedures of building controls into own work and checking data supplied by vendors
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to drive projects
  • Proven ability to work under time pressure and deliver with a high degree of control
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Accounting qualifications is a plus (e.g. ACCA, CPA)
  • University / Master’s Degree in sustainability, or environmental sciences, and/or accounting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required (ideally C2 level), German would be a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
