EMEA Business Development Manager


Job Description


The client is a global leader in lidar solutions. The company’s lidar products enable a broad spectrum of applications including passenger and commercial vehicles with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous driving vehicles, and robotic applications such as last-mile delivery robots and AGVs.


In order to drive the growth and further development forward for our client, Alium are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our clients team

Location: Stuttgart (Hybrid or Flexi-working possible)

Languages: English and German (Fluent)


Responsibilities:


  • Leads Lidar business development and sales for Robotics Industries e.g. Autonomous Mobility or Surveillance, Intelligent Transportation Systems or Reality Capture, Mapping or Channel Business.
  • Engages in a consultative, relationship-driven proactive sales process and focuses on top prospects/accounts and is accountable for driving ambitious sales goals: Define and execute engagement strategies and tactics Identify and build credible relationships from the engineering level to C-level personnel required.
  • Actively evaluate, manage, and support our partner network consisting of Distributors and VARs in EMEA.
  • Development of a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
  • Qualify incoming leads for EMEA collected or generated from the clients corporate website, tradeshows, and various Marketing campaigns and arrange effective follow-up.
  • Support EMEA tradeshows and industry conferences. Participate in trade shows to engage with potential and targeted prospects, including strengthening relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify new customer/prospect requirements and communicate to product management, industry manager/product marketing, and engineering teams. Be highly responsive to customer needs and work cross-functionally internally to satisfy customers growing relationships and maintain internal reporting/forecasting for business operations and finance teams.


Qualification:


  • A result-oriented, driven, and enthusiastic Business Development Manager with 3-10 years of sales experience at Industrial accounts in the EMEA region.
  • A Proven track record for exceeding annual sales targets, business development goals, or account management goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player who can work effectively on cross-functional teams.
  • A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Preferred background in selling opto-mechatronic/ Sensor solutions (Lidar/ Camera/ 3D systems).
