Electrical Project Manager

We are looking for an Electrical Project Manager on a freelance/contract basis for one of our clients based in Hamburg, Germany.

This position allows for remote working, but will require site presence when requested by the client.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Project Management:

- Oversee Electrical projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

2. Team Support and Mentorship:

- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including Corrective Coordinators.

- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.

3. Stakeholder Coordination:

- Serve as a point of contact for project-related communications.

- Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

- Address and resolve project issues and conflicts effectively.

4. Quality and Compliance:

- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.

- Oversee the preparation and review of project documentation, including permits and approvals.

5. Procurement and Resource Management:

- Collaborate with the procurement department to source materials and services.

- Evaluate supplier offers and manage purchase orders.

- Track and manage project resources, including equipment and personnel.

6. Risk Management:

- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies.

- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.

- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed on all project sites.

7. Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare regular project status reports for senior management and stakeholders.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, and financials.

- Ensure accurate and timely project data entry and record-keeping.

Qualifications:

- Academic degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management within the Electrical sector.

- Strong understanding of electrical systems and industry standards.

- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.

- Fluent in German and English.

Preferred Skills:

- Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent).

- Experience with offshore and onshore substations

- Familiarity with customs and logistics processes for import/export.
