Director Supply Chain EMEA

As Director Supply Chain EMEA, you will play a critical role in supporting the definition and implementation of various supply chain strategies across EMEA countries. Your responsibilities will encompass ownership of the supply chain, including material planning, inventory level and service level optimization, purchasing, manufacturing excellence, and warehouse and logistics. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to drive significant improvements in our supply chain operations, positioning us for continued success in meeting customer demands and achieving operational excellence. Your leadership and strategic acumen will be the catalyst for enhancing our service levels to customers and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Your tasks

  • Lead and oversee various SCM operations, including Purchasing Planning, Warehousing & Logistics, and Supplier Quality
  • Provide strategic leadership and guidance for budget management and tactical operational decisions
  • Support the development of new competitive vendors with high-quality products and increased volumes
  • Establish, measure, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive team objectives and targets
  • Identify and nurture talent for succession planning and employee development
  • Implement inventory strategies and optimization initiatives
  • Drive regional supply chain optimization programs to enhance profitability
  • Manage the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process for improved service levels and inventory efficiency
  • Develop and strengthen the procurement organization and vendor base in EMEA
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop an efficient, digitally-enabled EMEA supply chain, including demand forecasting, procure-to-pay automation, and make-buy decisions


Your profile

  • University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management respectively any related field of study
  • 10+ years of exemplary leadership experience driving change in complex multi-site and multi-country supply chain environments
  • Proficiency in lean operating system techniques, e.g. Toyota Production System, Danaher Business System, Honeywell Operating System, or similar lean methodologies
  • Ability to lead change initiatives in multi-site and multi-country settings
  • Proven track record of achievement in distribution, with a keen ability to articulate future business plans, drive profitability, and consistently meet or exceed corporate goals
  • Committed to continuous self-development, staying current with industry best practices
  • Strong team player with a results-oriented mindset, fostering collaboration across multiple functional teams within the EMEA region and globally
  • Highly collaborative and goal-oriented, possessing a transformational mindset
  • Proficiency in Lean principles and concepts, including Kaizen, daily management, problem-solving, PULL systems, and SI&OP tools
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in German and English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
