Your new role{{{{:}}}} Director - Sales Engineering (Presales) - EMEA
Join our dynamic team as the Director of Sales Engineering EMEA, leading a skilled group of Sales Engineers to support our EMEA Go-To-Market (GTM) team. Reporting to the VP of Sales EMEA, you will ensure your team is well-staffed, technically proficient, and equipped to deliver exceptional technical demos, support discovery calls, answer technical RFPs, and contribute to events. Your role will directly support our Sales team and collaborate with the Marketing and Partner teams.
Your responsibilities will include{{{{:}}}}
Leading the Sales Engineer EMEA team, ensuring demo pitches and other activities are correctly prioritized
Taking the presales lead in RFPs, ensuring timely delivery
Approaching opportunities holistically, bridging technical capabilities with solution requirements and business impact (including customer experience, ROI, etc.)
Supporting CSM with upsell opportunities by identifying strategic opportunities
Engaging with a broad range of customer and partner stakeholders, from hands-on technical to VP level, identifying champions, and creating relationships
Having the authority to delegate work and tasks and prioritize team activities
Liaising with regional sales and CSM leaders to stay up-to-date on the competitive landscape and performing technical comparisons between the company's software and other conversational AI products on the market
Facilitating internal training and ensuring the SE team stays current with industry developments

Requirements
About you{{{{:}}}}
Hands-on experience as a consultant, sales engineer, presales or comparable role that involves technical advice and providing fun and engaging demos
Experience in the enterprise software space working with contact center or automation technologies, either at software companies or building custom solutions
Proven team lead or managerial experience, including conducting regular 1{{{{:}}}}1s
Ability to coach and inspire a team with a solid understanding of technology and AI
Skilled in handling stressful situations, such as presentation deadlines and managing sick leave
Technical expertise in conversational AI technologies, NLU/NLP, and related software, including UI/UX. Experience in Cognigy.AI will be beneficial!
Fluency in English is essential. fluency in German is highly beneficial
Strong sales skills, including qualifying opportunities, building customer rapport, and demonstrating value
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with successful team leadership and HR responsibilities
Adaptable and innovative, staying current with technology trends in conversational AI and continuously learning
