We are seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position:

Director Medical Excellence Operations (m/f/x) The Position

The role of the Medical Excellence Operations Director (f/m/x) is to harmonize methodologies and processes throughout the entire European Specialty Medical organisation, upskilling the Medical community to effectively to enhance understanding and knowledge of Medical operational excellence across the medical community

The Medical Excellence Operations Director will work closely with the affiliate Medical departments to understand, develop and implement Key Performance indicator for measuring Medical Value and implement a harmonized medical dashboard for DSE and affiliates.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Generate strategy, guidance documents and programs to ensure harmonized operational competencies in Medical excellence throughout the Specialty Medical Organisation
    • Assess current status of operational procedures covering all aspects of Medical Excellence at European as well as Affiliate level
    • Based on regulatory requirements and organizational needs define, create and ensure training of harmonized operational guidance documents for entire Specialty Medical organisation
    • Regularly assess status of Operational Excellence procedures and knowledge and adjust accordingly
  • Develop, implement and maintain Key Performance Indicators for measuring Medical value
    • Develop, implement and continuously rework on an aligned Medical CRM Guidance across all affiliates
    • Define clear metrics and measurement plan to assess effectiveness of Medical
    • Develop and align on quantitative as well as qualitative metrics for measuring Medical Value in close collaboration with the affiliate Medical teams
    • Collaborate with Customer Engagement Solutions and Business Analysis teams across EU to ensure capturing, analysis and reporting of data within DS engagement platforms (CRMs), medical tools and dashboards
    • Ensure continuously monitoring of medical value; generate reports and develop insights and business recommendations in strong collaboration with affiliates
    • Align with DSE colleagues in Oncology Medical Affairs team on metrics (KPIs)
  • Develop, implement and maintain Medical Capability across all affiliates
    • Identify training needs and develop in collaboration with Medical Scientific Engagement Dir. a comprehensive capability-program for medical teams
    • Provide ongoing support to enhance understanding and knowledge of medical operational excellence across the medical community
    • Identify opportunities to streamline processes

Education & Professional Experience:

  • University Degree in Life Science / Master / or equivalent
  • 8-11 years of experience
  • Clearly structured, strategic thinking, creativity and process-oriented mindset,
  • Understanding of European / international regulations, guidelines, governance and standard operating procedures within Medical Affairs
  • Understanding of compliant gathering, analysis and interpretation of HCP / patient insights
  • Understanding of Medical Operational Excellence, business acumen
  • Hands-on mentality, can-do attitude, excited by change and new opportunities
  • Ability to manage several complex tasks at the same time
  • Excellent didactic, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Strong, cross-functional team player
  • Experience and enthusiasm working in a fast-changing environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English as well as preferably in another European language
  • Experience in cardiovascular disease area is a plus
  • Strong IT and data analysis skills
