Great Opportunity for a System Support Engineer: Remote/Hamburg-Based


Next Ventures is proud to partner with an industry-leading Software House who are actively hiring a junior-mid level Customer-Facing Support Engineer to join their hard-working team in Hamburg.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and manage incidents for external customers.
  • You will schedule and perform software updates and upgrades for multi-site deployments.
  • Supervise trial installations and Proof of Concepts (PoCs), prepare reports, and collaborate with the sales team.
  • Design, manage, and implement projects from start to finish.


Your Profile:

  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written. Knowledge of German is a plus.
  • This is a customer facing role. You must have experience with being the communication between external and internal stakeholders and development teams.
  • Strong communication skills. You love to interact with people and are able to deal with a variety of customers and stakeholders and explain is.
  • Curiosity and passion for technology.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems. A solution-oriented person is crucial for this position as this client are looking for someone who wants to go the extra mile to provide a great service for their customers,
  • You come from a Linux-background (CentOS). Microsoft/Windows experience is appreciated however this candidate must have extensive Linux experience.
  • You must already reside in Germany. Preferably in Hamburg.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a support engineer, network engineer, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash/Python).
  • Database knowledge (PostgreSQL).
  • Familiarity with virtualization tools (VMware/KVM/Cloud e.g., AWS).
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
