Startup Play (https://startupplay.com) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Co-founder & CMO. As one of the key leaders of our innovative startup, you will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing & sales strategies and drive customer acquisition, brand awareness, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for startups and a proven track record in building and leading successful marketing or sales teams.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate a hands-on mentality, a hard-working attitude, and an open-minded approach to innovation in all aspects of the role
Maintain transparency and open communication
Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth
Embrace Agile methodologies and work practices to facilitate efficient and iterative development processes
Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and traditional advertising
Build and manage relationships with customers, partners, and industry influencers
Collaborate with the other team members to align marketing, customer success and sales efforts with product development
Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights
Manage the company's brand and ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all marketing materials and channels
Measure and analyze marketing performance and report on key metrics to company stakeholders
Assume the spotlight at events and conferences, ensuring our name resonates throughout the industry
Actively engage in networking both online and offline to promote the brand and create strategic partnerships
Requirements
Essential fluency in both German and English languages
Hard-working attitude, hands-on mentality, and open-minded approach to innovation, contributing to a dynamic and proactive work environment
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment with a high level of autonomy and accountability
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA preferred
Proven experience as a marketing and sales roles, ideally in the startup or technology industry
Preferably, experience as a founder in a startup environment, showcasing leadership and entrepreneurial skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics
Proficiency in analyzing data and using analytics tools to drive marketing decisions
Demonstrated experience in building and leading high-performing teams
Entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
