Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our technology strategy and oversee our technical infrastructure. This is a pivotal role for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about the prospect of driving technological innovation in the renewable energy industry. As our CTO, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company, building and scaling our engineering team, and navigating the challenges of technical change along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Oversee the entire technological infrastructure of the company to ensure alignment with business goals.
• Team Building: Hire, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement technical strategies that drive the company’s growth and success in the renewable energy market.
• Innovation Management: Lead efforts in research and development, continuously exploring new technologies to keep SolarTech Innovations at the forefront of the industry.
• Technical Debt Management: Identify and reduce technical debt, ensuring our systems are scalable, maintainable, and robust.
• Change Management: Navigate and manage technical change and disruption, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal impact on business operations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and operations, to drive cohesive and efficient project execution.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a CTO role or equivalent senior technical leadership position.
• Leadership: Proven hands-on leadership experience with a track record of building and scaling new teams.
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of software development, system architecture, and emerging technologies in the renewable energy sector.
• Renewable Energy: Previous experience working in the renewable energy sector is required.
• Communication: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Language: Fluent in German and English is required.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
