About Our Client
My client is one of the most interesting and forward thinking Crypto projects of the coming years. I am looking for a Chief Legal Officer (m/f/d) with an excellent track record to join the team, to be based in Frankfurt.
Job Description
Lead the back-office team, overseeing legal, compliance, risk management, and administrative functions
Develop and implement comprehensive legal and compliance frameworks to support business objectives and manage risk
Serve as the primary legal advisor to the CEO, board of directors, and senior management on all corporate matters
Negotiate, draft, and review complex commercial agreements, ensuring they align with company policies and regulatory requirements
Manage the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights
Oversee litigation and dispute resolution, representing the company's interests in legal proceedings
Collaborate with regulatory bodies and ensure adherence to financial regulations and laws in all operational territories
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing back-office processes for efficiency and effectiveness
The Successful Applicant
Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal qualification, with admission to practice law in relevant jurisdictions
A minimum of 10 years of legal experience in the TradFi, FinTech or Digital Assets industry
Proven track record of leading a legal department and managing a diverse team
Strong understanding of international financial regulations and compliance standards
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate legal issues and provide proactive solutions
Based in Frankfurt or ready to commute weekly
