We are currently assisting an established Private Equity Fund specializing in software companies in its search for a Chief Financial Officer (m/w/d). The company has over 150 employees and operates at a solid mid-sized level.
Qualifications and skills:
- Background as a CFO, ideally in mid-sized B2B software companies, and a deep understanding of their specific operational and financial dynamics.
- Experience transitioning from license models to subscription models as well as migrating software solutions to the cloud.
- Deep understanding of budgeting, forecasting, multi-year planning, financial analysis, due diligence, KPI management reporting, cash flow management, and intercompany transactions.
- Ability to develop and successfully implement a comprehensive M&A strategy and create synergies.
- Negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities, decisiveness, and a results-oriented approach to align financial strategies with the organization's goals.
- Capability to communicate with investors and financial institutions, ensuring productive interactions.
- Experience in ERP integration
- Fluency in both German and English
Responsibilities:
- Controlling, financing, accounting, contract law, human resources management, procurement, coordination, and interface tasks.
- In addition to M&A and financing strategies, the role will be crucial in supporting other medium- and long-term investments and initiatives of the company.
- Responsibility for the professional and disciplinary leadership of the accounting and controlling departments.
- Ensure the protection and security of the company's key assets, ensure compliance with financial regulations, close the books correctly, and communicate opportunity and risk aspects to the CEO and investors.
- Be the contact person for management in the company's internal financial strategies, including. contract management, risk management, and internal audit, and prepare analyses and recommendations for action.
- Ensure the smooth operation of an efficient and effective financial organization that provides various services to the company's customer group, including financial planning and analysis, treasury, taxes, and other financial operations.
- Oversee and drive necessary changes in the financial sector and throughout the company. Firstly, by allocating financial resources to growth and revenue-enhancing initiatives, and secondly, by implementing effective performance management tools.
