Chief Financial Officer

Our client are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team in Germany.

Your Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the executive team and the board of directors with strategic financial counsel.
• Manage the processes for financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
• Verify the integrity and correctness of the business's financial reporting and records.
• Establish and uphold strict adherence to legal and regulatory obligations as well as strong internal controls.
• Oversee the creation of GAAP/IFRS compliant financial statements.
• Oversee the organization's treasury operations, which include investment strategy, liquidity management, and cash flow forecasting.
• Manage connections with investors and financial institutions and optimise the capital structure.
• Create plans to control interest rate and foreign exchange risk.
• Manage tax compliance and planning for all of the company's operating jurisdictions.
• Assure that the best tax methods are used to reduce tax obligations.
• Create and manage a high-achieving financial team while offering opportunity for professional growth and mentorship.
• Encourage a culture of responsibility, teamwork, and ongoing development in the finance division.

Your Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a similar discipline.
• A master's degree is preferred, as is any applicable professional certification (such as a CPA or CFA).
• 10+ years of experience in a senior financial leadership position, ideally as a CFO in the automotive sector.
• A track record of success in tax, accounting, treasury, and controlling.
• Restructuring operational finance and cash flow management experience.
• International experience overseeing money in several different countries.
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, including the capacity to persuade and bargain at all levels.
• Expertise with sophisticated Excel and financial management software.
• Proficiency in German and English.
