Job Description
Develop and execute a multi-year business strategy aligned with the company's vision, mission, and objectives
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and business ventures to drive growth
P&L responsibility, implementing cost effective strategies and operational strategies to maximize profitability while ensuring financial health stability for the organization
Develop annual operating budget, forecasts, and leading quarterly reviews
Develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and other strategic partners
Partner closely and drive leadership team in a positive and collaborative approach focusing on a team-based culture
Lead advisor on various strategic topics including M&A (Mergers and Acquisitions)
Support the CSO in Commercial and Strategic Business Development activities to expand customer base and secure new contracts
Ensure operations processes are sustainable driving process improvement while meeting quality standards
Ensure new product introduction launch process is efficient, scalable, and repeatable
In collaboration with R&D and Engineering assess and make suggestion on technology and equipment improvements to increase productivity
Ensure team is properly staffed and continue to improve strength of talent within department
The Successful Applicant
A deep understanding of the chemical industry, alternatively within a production environment, including specific market conditions
The ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative strategies to drive the company's growth and success, including exploring new markets and product segments
The capability to lead, motivate and develop a dedicated and highly skilled team to achieve common goals and foster a positive corporate culture
Strong commitment to sustainability and environmental protection, including the development and implementation of eco-friendly production and business practices
Profound customer insights and the ability to identify customer needs and offer innovative solutions to build long-term customer relationships and ensure customer success
The proficiency to develop and successfully execute long-term business strategies, including setting clear objectives, prioritizing resources and monitoring progress
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, government agencies and the public
The capability to identify, integrate and leverage innovative technologies to gain competitive advantages and improve the efficiency and quality of products and processes
A solid understanding of risk management practices and the ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements
Unwavering commitment to ethical behavior, integrity and corporate governance to earn and maintain the trust of employees, customers and the public
Fluent in German and English, proficient in French
