For material innovation in nature, biology turns to proteins. Over the past 4.3 billion years evolution has shaped proteins with every material property imaginable. From surfactants and hard surfaces, to gels and foams, to coatings and adhesives. We built our platform to speed up biology’s innovation cycle to make the materials the world needs in a timeline that matters. By programming proteins at scale, we create sustainable breakthrough materials for innovators across cosmetics, fashion and packaging.

Your role

At Cambrium, we’ve successfully developed an innovative product for the skincare market, of which you can find more information here. But we’re just at the beginning, our world-class research team is already working on new products for - amongst others - the fashion and nutrition industry. We are now gearing up to bring these products to market and scale our operations. To lead this critical phase from a commercial management perspective, we’re in search of a Chief Commercial Officer who shares our passion and purpose.

What You Can Expect To Do

  • Company Strategy: Set top-line commercial goals and contribute to fundraising cycles
  • Product Strategy: Build and grow pipeline of new business applications for new and existing industry verticals
  • Business Development: Help to identify new partnership opportunities, flagship brands for defined use cases and distribution channels to scale our growth trajectory
  • Sales: Lead integrated Sales business units for each industry vertical to acquire, retain and scale customers for existing products
  • Marketing: Lead Marketing efforts to further develop the Cambrium brand as well as product brand architectures, position products, launch products and support sales function in scaling revenue
  • Organizational Development: Further build the commercial team in a lean but scalable way

Your profile

  • Extensive experience in chemicals business development bringing innovations to market
  • Proven track record in managing manufacturer and distributor relationships from initial partnership negotiations through ongoing development and commercialization of materials
  • Established proficiency in building and further developing solid product portfolio strategies across various verticals, applications and distribution channels
  • Recognized competency in building & leading commercial teams
  • Experience in collaborating with R&D teams
  • Expertise in managing product launches & branding efforts
  • (Bio)Chemistry / (Bio)Chemical Engineering background is advantageous
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments is highly advantageous
