Our client, a new and exciting insurtech business is looking for its entrepreneurial CEO. The company is a joint venture between a group of financial and fintech companies with operations across Europe, and a group of technology companies owning one of the most advanced digital insurance platforms.
Together they are launching a new player on the German insurance market - a digital insurance MGA with risk carrier instinct. The new company is fully financed, has a superior technology and will offer fully digital insurance. They are looking for an individual who would like to get involved in a new, exciting venture and the building of the operations from inception.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity to join and build a new business from early on and make a difference by introducing innovative solutions to the market
You will collaborate with a strong team, combining 20+ years of expertise in the insurance industry and digital technology knowledge, with a strong entrepreneurial and growth culture
The CEO will generate a profitable growth trajectory of the business with full P&L responsibility
Develop an effective marketing and sales strategy to build positive brand recognition
Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers and partners
Ensure strong execution across business goals, create transparent objectives and define KPIs
Inspire innovation in product development, technology and processes, use of insurance and business acumen to design innovative products and solutions
Responsible for setting up and maintaining oversight of business processes and operations
In charge of hiring, leading and developing a local team
Requirements
Good knowledge of the German insurance market and excellent understanding of the insurance business overall
Minimum three years of management experience in the insurance industry, preferably in Sales, Channel or Partnerships/Brokerage Management
Excellent network among decision makers in insurance intermediaries on the German market
Strong commercial acumen and successful track record of developing and growing insurance operations
An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Experience in building, leading and managing teams
Strong communication and negotiations skills
Digitally-savvy and innovative, experience in the fintech/insurtech space is an advantage
MSc/MA in business administration or relevant field
Readiness of travelling to meet partners and to attend events/conferences is required
Native German speaker with great command of English
