Area Manager - Germany


We are looking for a strong candidate to be Responsible for the overall commercial, technical (engineering design and technical support), operational and promotional performance for Geopier systems as well as commercial/technical support for Licensees and supervision of Region Engineer sales teams within a defined geographic territory. Develop and implement Area business plans that encompass annual corporate initiatives for new products/applications introductions and promotion and technical sales performance goals. Responsibilities also include performing technical evaluation of RAP designs and approaches, assisting in identification, development and support of new licensees, supervising assigned R&D efforts, and other technical and support functions determined by company President and/or Director – EMEA.


Responsibilities:

Understanding the complexity of German construction market – all sectors (also public jobs – Rail)

Travelling regionally in Germany and visiting the key customers on a regular basis.

Develop and implement strategies for Customers/Licensees to achieve revenue within the given area.

Develop technical and sales strategies (design & pricing) for success on critical projects.


Responsible for reviewing and approving all Geopier designs in the defined territory.


Lead engineering efforts of Licensees’ engineers in the territory concerning design and technical efforts.


Assist with development of annual goals and review these on a monthly basis.


Manage and Coordinate interaction between Geopier Design Center, Licensed Installer and Client to maximum efficient, accuracy, and effectiveness of Geopier services and systems, where applicable.


Review project geotechnical and structural information and perform project evaluations to examine technical and commercial feasibility.


Develop preliminary solutions for Geopier Foundations proprietary technologies.


Coordinate design activities of external Design Offices and Design Suppliers.


Assist with development of new commercial materials and technical approaches to launch and sell new technologies.


Assist sales team with preparing technical sales proposals & documents.


Supervising assigned internal and external R&D efforts.


Travel to regional locations to support licensees and region engineers with promotional activities and technical/operational support.


Trouble-shooting difficult projects.


Preparing technical papers and bulletins.



Education/Qualifications:


Minimum MS in Civil Engineering.


At least 5 to 7 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.


Excellent understanding of soil mechanics.


Commercial excellence in sales, experience in Business Development is a plus.


Confident, credible and customer focused communicator


  • Working knowledge of computer systems and software including Microsoft Office applications.


German and English on a very confident level
