Account Manager - Volkswagen (m/w/d) - Remote

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Account Manager to join our team at Volkswagen Group and its subsidiaries. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing our business with Volkswagen, one of our key global accounts. You will serve as the primary point of contact, building strong relationships with Volkswagen and educating them on the value our products and services bring to their business. This position requires autonomy and will involve collaborating with various internal teams such as Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • Become an expert on our capabilities and product portfolio relevant to Volkswagen's needs
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at Volkswagen and internally
  • Manage the assigned portfolio to achieve revenue and profit growth targets, as well as demand creation pipeline goals
  • Identify strategic business opportunities and present business cases to gain internal support for execution
  • Track revenue and profitability accurately across all systems
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of programs and alignment with Volkswagen's expectations
  • Collaborate with APO, CM sales, and supply planning teams to ensure demand fulfillment
  • Own reporting and analytics for the assigned business units
  • Identify value drivers for Volkswagen and articulate strategic business needs to leadership

  • Self-motivated and curious
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building and networking
  • Effective communicator in person, over the phone, via Microsoft Teams, and through email
  • Fluent German and English skills mandatory
  • Organized with attention to detail and timely follow-through
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Ability to work through ambiguity to deliver desired outcomes
  • Capability to map complex technical requirements to our offerings and develop customer engagement strategies
  • Influencing skills to work internally and with Volkswagen
  • Proficiency in analyzing and processing complex data sets using Excel and other tools


The Experience You Will Bring/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a customer-facing role such as sales/account manager or equivalent technical role
  • Knowledge on automotive connector systems highly beneficial


What Will Put You Ahead:

  • Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier customers and a proven track record of design wins
  • Prior experience in the electronics industry, particularly with passive/active components and interconnect products
  • Familiarity with the consumer product design process and sales cycle
  • International experience, including collaboration with colleagues based in China and the U.S.
