Concentrated expertise on semiconductor manufacturing technologies meets an inquisitive audience from academia and industry. 🧠🎓🏭 The fourth ZEISS European Summer School in Oberkochen gave more than 60 participants insights into our segment and related aspects of semiconductor manufacturing. Nine top experts of Intel Corporation, Nokia, Siltronic AG and ZEISS SMT dived deep into various fields of lithography optics, photomask systems, wafers and chip design. There is reason to celebrate 🎉 At the topping-out ceremony of the new #multifunctional #factory in Wetzlar, ZEISS employees, together with construction and site managers, were able to take a first look at the new building and inform themselves about changes in the working environment. The new building expands the existing SMT location in Wetzlar and will provide more space for the production of DUV illumination systems. Did you know that about 80 percent of microchips worldwide are made on ASML lithography systems with ZEISS optics – a majority of them using DUV technology? #duv #lithography #fascination #technology
