📢 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 💪 The heart of our cardboard plant in the Eifel region is our centrifugal pump. We use it to continuously mix pulp with water to create a paper fiber pulp – the basis for our cardboard production. 📦 If the pump breaks down, the entire production process in the mill comes to a standstill. It was therefore important for us to find a predictive monitoring solution. At Schaeffler, we found what we were looking for! Schaeffler offers wireless sensors and convinced us during an initial pilot project. Currently, four installed sensors – two on the pump itself and two on its motor – report on the condition of our pump and provide timely warnings in case of suspicious values to avoid a system failure. Since this year, we're taking it a step further: 100% of our suppliers will comply with the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (LkSG) and undergo a risk assessment.
