"Just being yourself and not being an a**hole!" 😬 ERA of Ansgar: When we asked him, "What does ERA of You mean to you?", this was his sincere response. As our Art Director in Cologne, Ansgar is known for his expertise in creative designing but also his charismatic personality in the office. He recently showcased his sports savvy by securing second place in our #WeAreEURO team prediction game for the UEFA EURO 2024 tournament. ⚽️🙌 Ansgar is deeply involved in designing for pitches and various projects, including crafting the visuals for our important #DasIstGewalt campaign. Today, we had the chance to interview Ansgar about his passions inside and outside the office. 🙏 💬 Ansgar, how many designs do you typically finish in a day? 💁♂️ It could be zero; it could be ten. That totally depends on the task and the definition of what counts as one design. If it’s for a pitch, I probably did several quick and dirty mock-ups to visualize some ideas in a few hours. If it’s for an upcoming production where art direction is needed, it could take several days to find the direction and refine certain elements. 💬 Who’s your favourite music artist?  💁♂️ That’s really impossible to narrow down to just one. Maybe it’s a bit sad, but at the moment, I’m not listening to full albums from start to finish by a specific artist anymore. Mostly, I shuffle my liked songs on Spotify and use the smart shuffle function to mix them with suggestions to discover new music, liking new songs, and so on. I like a lot of melancholic music. According to Spotify, my top 3 artists last month were Sufjan Stevens, Beach House and Crystal Castles. But I also like rougher music. My favourite artist in that niche recently has been Birds in Row. 💬 Which skills would you like to develop further?  💁♂️ There's always room for improvement across various fields. In my job as a graphic designer, it’s improving my skills in Blender and 3D animation. Luckily, After Effects has really improved its 3D functions recently, which helps me a lot since I am more familiar with it. Personally, it would be great to delve into music production and also improve my piano skills. Hopefully, I'll find the motivation to return to Duolingo and make progress in French, but I’m still very much at the beginning (and have been for a few years now. 🥲 ) Wanna find out how Ansgar became such a pro in designing? ERA of Maya: From working in the TV industry to becoming a Talent Manager at We Are Era Nordics, Maya brings a wealth of experience to our talent team in #Stockholm. She joined us to explore new opportunities, think outside the box, and always dream big in her career. Maya enjoys spending time with friends and family, and brings that same loyalty and companionship to her colleagues at work. ❤️ We had the pleasure of interviewing Maya about her journey so far at ERA and her exciting career. 💬 Maya, what is a fun fact about you, we don’t know yet? 🙋♀️ When I was 20 years old, I worked as a Tour Guide in Hanoi, Vietnam. At my first day of work, I had been in the city for twelve hours, me and 20 tourists walked around the streets of Hanoi for hours. But it went really well, today you can ask me anything about Ly Trieu Quoc Su Pagoda! 💬 What is one thing you learned from working in the TV industry for four years? 🙋♀️ In my job as a Casting Agent & Segment Producer, I really learned to become more solution-oriented! In unexpected situations, teamwork and quick decision-making were always the key. 💬 What do you love most about working with talents? 🙋♀️ At ERA, I get to work with incredible content creators, each with their own unique way of expressing themselves. It keeps my work exciting and every day is a new experience. This is what happens when 200 colleagues from across Europe gather for the wildest party of the year! 🤯🎉 Our last week’s Summer Party was a spectacular celebration! Best social campaign of the year: #DasIstGewalt was honored with Germany's Politikaward! 🏆 Last night, our MESH Collective team was awarded with the German Policy Award by Quadriga University of Applied Sciences for their out-of-home campaign #DasIstGewalt (#ThisIsViolence) as "best social campaign of the year". The campaign for Senatsverwaltung für Arbeit, Soziales, Gleichstellung, Integration, Vielfalt und Antidiskriminierung was dedicated to raise awareness for violence against women and girls. It was displayed Berlin-wide at central locations across the city and in subway stations. "Standing up against violence against women is an issue close to MESH's heart and #DasIstGewalt is an absolute flagship project. We have managed to position the topic widely and bring it into focus", explains Julia Althoff, Head of MESH Collective. Together with Barbara, Frauke, and Senator Cansel Kiziltepe, she accepted the award. Congrats to everyone involved! Our recent Green Week was a blast! 🌱🙌 To mark Earth Day, our teams across the continent have been engaged in a variety of activities aimed at promoting sustainability and sharing practical tips for a greener lifestyle. Our Green Task Force at ERA has initiated hands-on workshops, Learning Lunches, team events and more. Here are some of our team highlights: 🟢 2.5 tons of food got rescued that would otherwise ended up in trash 🟢 Countless fashion items got swapped, and over 160 pieces were donated to homeless people 🟢 We contributed to a zero-waste lunch, promoting eco-friendly food practices 🟢 Thanks to upcycling workshops, we were able to repurpose clothes and accessoires, and took a stand against fast fashion Thank you to everyone who participated in our Green Week activities and helped make our commitment to sustainability a reality. 🌍💚 #GreenWeek #GreenTaskForce #PositiveChange #Sustainability
