Above, is a successfully conducted vibrations #test that merges static and dynamic loads (the so-called "quasi-static loads test"), compliant with ECSS-E-ST-10-03C and GEVS GSFC-STD-7000 #standards. Vyoma plans to build and operate an innovative, satellite-based observation system for space debris monitoring. Being space-borne allows us to operate our sensors continuously, sweeping a large volume of space, and re-observing objects with unprecedented frequency. Together with state-of-the-art data processing algorithms, we will provide services such as debris cataloguing, collision warnings, up to the full automation of planning and performing evasive manoeuvres to ensure safe and efficient satellite operations.

The Office of Space Commerce has published a compendium of space industry technical standards, including standards relevant to space situational awareness and space traffic coordination. The searchable spreadsheet provides a consolidated reference to space-related standards, best practices, reports, and other documents developed/coordinated by ISO - International Organization for Standardization, Consultative Committee on Space Data Systems (CCSDS), ASTM International, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration, CONFERS | The Consortium for Execution of Rendezvous and Servicing Operations, AIAA, and other organizations. OSC participates in many of the working groups developing new space standards in order to foster economic growth and technological advancement of the U.S. commercial space industry. Another step was taken toward a more sustainable space!🚀 Ranking space missions based on their likelihood to contribute to the proliferation of space debris is crucial to foster a sustainable use of space. The new paper published by Lorenzo Giudici, Juan Luis Gonzalo Gómez, Andrea Muciaccia and Camilla Colombo from Politecnico di Milano, by Mirko Trisolini from Vyoma and by Francesca Letizia from the European Space Agency - ESA presents the extension of the space debris index formulation ECOB (Environmental Consequences of Orbital Breakups) to the medium Earth orbital region. The currently in-orbit missions are eventually ranked based on the proposed metric.
