In the last few weeks there have been several posts about the successful sea trial completed by Höegh Autoliners for their first Aurora class vessel. We are extremely excited and proud as we have been part of this project since the very first stages. This vessel holds a TGE Marine Fuel Gas System and Multi Fuel Gas Tank and with all the other aspects of its machinery, makes it the world’s largest and most environmentally friendly PCTC vessels ever built. We are looking forward to the naming ceremony of this vessel, which is taking place in early August and for then we will be looking to spot the vessel in action soon thereafter. To some, this is just a vessel and the blue ocean. To us, and the shipping industry, this is a game-changer. A transformational innovation. And a milestone accomplishment on our path to a net-zero emissions future. It is the first Aurora Class vessel, and she has just completed her sea trial ⭐ Successfully, we might add. All is now set for our Aurora vessel #1 to be delivered and named at the beginning of August. And for her to commence commercial operations right thereafter. We are immensely proud of our Aurora Class. The world’s largest and most environmentally friendly PCTC vessels ever built. This vessel will be cutting carbon emissions per car transported by 58% from the current industry average in August. Today, shipping accounts for around 3 percent of all global emissions. 90% of shipping emissions come from deep-sea transportation. That is a big problem – and one that we refuse to be part of. With our Aurora Class we are taking a monumental leap towards our 2040 net-zero emissions goal.
