Crypto trading volume to exceed $108 Trillion: 📊 A study by CoinWire predicts the huge volume by the end of 2024. The U.S. leads the way with the highest projected crypto trading volume for the year. However, Europe leads in the value of global crypto transactions with a 37.32% share. What does the delay mean, and when will they launch? Our Weekly Market Update reviews the past seven days’ most significant events in the digital asset market. ⏱️ Delayed Ethereum ETF launch: The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission is taking more time to return S-1 filings submitted by potential ETF issuers, but there is nothing negative to read into this. A mid-to-late July start to trading is now expected. 📈 Cryptocurrency ATMs on the rise: A 17.8% rise in the number of crypto ATM installations in the past 12 months around the world has brought the total to 38,279. This is very close to the previous all-time high, and an indicator that everything is in favour of retail investors entering the market. 📉 Runes transactions drop-off: The token standard on the Bitcoin blockchain saw a drop in the average daily transaction count of over 88% from its peak. The sharp drop has had a significant impact on Bitcoin mining fees, which are still feeling the effects of the last halving.
