The CIE - International Commission on Illumination is celebrating 100 years of V(λ).
🌟 The CCPR-CIE Expert Workshop "𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗩(λ) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗿𝘆" has officially started! 🎉 💡 This landmark event marks a century of the V(λ) function, a fundamental element in the field of photometry. To commemorate this milestone, we have prepared a series of special presentations that delve into the rich history and future prospects of V(λ). Later this year, we will be releasing a celebratory V(λ) publication, featuring insightful essays and a detailed historical record that chronicles the evolution and impact of V(λ) over the past 100 years. 📚 Stay tuned for the announcement of the winners of the V(λ) art competition, celebrating the intersection of science and creativity! 🎨🏆 Photo 1: Original V(λ) submission from the 1924 proceedings in Genève (including a section on the theory and the decision to accept it).
