Last week Alexander and Katharina had the chance to visit D.C. talking about the role of sewts in an ever-growing robotic landscape. It was an inspiring trip, full of insightful discussions, disruptive ideas and big ambitions. Currently, the big players are all starting from scratch building their own robots, little bit more human like looking, little cheaper, little more fingers, bit faster- but who is taking care of teaching the skills? Last week our co-founder Alexander Bley was back on stage. At Ludwig-Erhard-Gipfel | Tegernsee Summit - Alex had the honour to talk about our vision of disrupting the automation landscape by implementing #physicalAI. We strongly believe that a shift towards a more generic approach in robotics is highly needed. We need to stop case-by-case solutions. Whereas at the same time we need to ensure fast learning algorithms to train new tasks in the shortest possible time. This means less hardware: a brain, eyes and grippers with human like perception skills to handle any kind of deformable materials in a cost efficient way.
