Whether it's tablets or computers, children's leisure activities have changed dramatically in recent years. This behavioural change is leading to an increasingly higher number of children developing myopia, also called short-sightedness. In 2020 more than one-third of the world's population was short-sighted: a sharp increase within just two decades. We are very proud to announce that Rodenstock Italy has been awarded by the Associazione Italiana Ottici ed Optometristi (AIO), one of the biggest associations of opticians in Italy, which represents over 6,000 optical centers. The award ceremony took place during the “Filiera Produzione Occhiali” congress in CastelBrando and honors us for our strong partnership with our opticians and our innovative technologies that have distinguished the company for over 140 years. The Rodenstock Group today announced its results for the financial year 2023. In a challenging macro environment, we achieved a revenue increase of +0.2% to 506.1 million euros and recurring EBITDA of 122.3 million euros, up 0.3% compared to the previous year on a pro forma basis. With a strong performance of our B.I.G.
