In his interview, Herbert Gabriel takes the Hydrogen discussion a level higher with regards to innovation facilitators in Germany and around the globe : "It's not always just about the technology, but also about industrial dependencies, infrastructure or political regulations. (…) When it all comes together, we can recover a large part of the energy that we consume from hydrogen. But we have to want to do that. As long as we rely on other energies, which are much easier to obtain than investing in technologies that allow us to be more independent, we will be treading water and there will be no progress." Winfried Doelling was invited to contribute to the German-speaking symposium – “Water is the coal of the future” | Hydrogen: key element for the energy transition – in Halle, Saale on May 27-28 hosted by EFDS Europäische Forschungsgesellschaft Dünne Schichten e.V. As part of the keynote section “Materials & Process Technologies for an Efficient Hydrogen Economy”, Dölling was presenting what is currently top of our minds at PVT and was met with high interest from all participants: „Cost-effective High Performance Coatings for the H2 Economy“. For the first time, the Hydrogen Labs offer a digital network infrastructure with test and qualification capacities for the electrolysis and fuel cell systems required for the energy transition totaling more than 25 megawatts (MW).
