A few days ago it was that time again - our Trainee and Student Day took place! 😊🚀   The day began with an inspiring review of the past year and our previous trainee and student days. It was fantastic to review all the progress and successes. Afterwards, we had an intensive exchange about the different experiences of our initial phase at the company and discussed the immense importance of successful onboarding.   In small groups, we then considered how the onboarding period for trainees and students can be optimally structured. Each team drew up a checklist with the necessary material preparations for each phase. This gave rise to many innovative ideas on how to make onboarding even more effective. One particularly creative suggestion was to invite new trainees and students to our events, such as the PRETTL Cup, before they officially start work. This allows the "newcomers" to play directly in the trainee and student team and feel part of the team in advance.   After a well-deserved lunch break, the creative work continued - and new content was produced for our Instagram account. Today we introduce you to a company that develops e-mobility in Swabia. As REFU Drive GmbH, we have been a permanent and proud part of the PRETTL group since 2019.   But our story begins a few years earlier. Namely in 2009, when we were still part of REFU Elektronik GmbH. Back then, we developed the RPCS 600, a DC-DC controller and supply unit. Still one of our most important milestones today.   This developed into a true success story. Over the years, solutions and systems for other industries were added. Until we arrived in 2016: Product launch of the RPCS 730 series. With its sleek, stylish REFU design, it was and is a powerful inverter. FOR all drives.   With such a powerful inverter in the bag, starting up was no longer too difficult. And so REFU Drive GmbH was founded out of REFU Elektronik. Last Friday, June 21, 2024, our popular PRETTL Cup finally took place after we had to postpone it once before due to the weather. Although the weather forecast was a little mixed this time too and it rained in the morning and at the start of the games, it cleared up afterwards and we enjoyed bright sunshine. This year, we were particularly pleased with our international line-up and the fact that we had people coming from far and wide. The following teams accepted our invitation to the TSV Holzelfingen sports ground: PMA - PRETTL Mechatronics & Actuators GmbH, ENDRESS Elektrogerätebau GmbH, our trainee and student team, PRETTL Electronics with two teams, Kurz Elektronik GmbH, Eckerle Group, EMBS from Poland and Ellamp Systems s.r.l. from Italy. Around lunchtime, the individual teams gradually arrived, threw on their outfits and, despite the rain or perhaps of it, started to warm up, so that the first kick-off was at around 1:00 pm. This year we had two great referees who refereed all the games with a lot of passion and stamina. The teams battled it out in exciting duels to secure the coveted semi-final places. The spectators were also treated to barbecued food, waffles and drinks. During the lunch break, the match results were evaluated so that everyone could continue once they were rested and refreshed. For the companies Kurz Elektronik GmbH, Eckerle Group, PRETTL Electronics 2 and EMBS, it was time to get back on the pitch to qualify for the final. In the semi-final between Eckerle Group and EMBS, third place was determined by an exciting 9-meter shoot-out. In the end, EMBS was able to secure third place thanks to some breathtaking saves by the goalkeeper. The final game continued. This was the only match to be played over 12 minutes instead of 10. In the end, PRETTL Electronics was beaten by Kurz Elektronik GmbH. Congratulations to Kurz, who won the coveted PRETTL Cup! This can now adorn the office for a year before it is collected for the next PRETTL Cup, where it will once again be hotly contested. The second Onboarding Day of 2024 took place on Monday, May 6, 2024. Introduced last year, we received so much positive and appreciative feedback that we no longer want to miss the day. We welcomed 7 new colleagues who joined PRETTL group in February 2023 to our Pfullingen office. After a round of introductions of the participants, we got to know the world of PRETTL group better together, including the visualization of our PRETTL world. This was followed by a presentation of the company year 2024 and the many benefits we offer as an employer. Finally, the GoZero training, which is mandatory for every PRETTL employee, was held by Halit Oluk. In view of our PRETTL Cup next week, we once again advertised and asked the elementary question of who of our “new” employees likes to play soccer. 🌟 Fantastic Girls'Day at PRETTL group! 🌟 Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting Girls'Day - Mädchen-Zukunftstag at PRETTL group and it was a complete success! Six young girls explored our buildings with great enthusiasm and immersed themselves in the exciting world of electronics, mechatronics and industrial mechanics. The morning was characterized by playful activities that allowed the girls to get to know the various professions up close. After an informative production tour, they were allowed to get hands-on in the afternoon and put their skills to the test. From making and processing a cube to building a paper house, which was finished off with a functioning battery and a glowing lamp, it was a day full of creative discoveries and practical experiences.
