Turning green ideas into action ♻️💚 PHOENIX group is in the process of making the switch to 100% recycled plastic totes for transporting medicines and healthcare products. Initiated by our Italian subsidiary Gruppo Comifar, this change has saved 11 tonnes of plastic in one year. What is currently happening in Germany that brings together teams from across Europe to play football and do a little victory dance on the pitch?  If you guessed the UEFA EURO 2024 you are technically correct. Although arguably, more dancing took place at PHOENIX's 🌟Uwe Macher Cup🌟! Our annual company-wide football tournament also took place this weekend in Germany, in Hanau to be precise. We were delighted to welcome many colleagues from across Europe for this friendly and fun competition between the PHOENIX branches. 👥 Number of Participants: Around 700 enthusiastic athletes from 12 countries showcased their skills on the field. ⚽ Teams: A total of 32 teams participated, including 27 men's teams and 5 women's teams. 🏆 The winners: Women: Congratulations to PHOENIX Germany's Cologne depot for their impressive victory! Men: Congratulations to PHOENIX Pharma Bulgaria - an outstanding performance! Now if only Bulgaria's EURO 2024 team would take a leaf out of our book...  A big thank you to all the teams for their participation and admirable sportsmanship! Finally, thank you to our hosts, the team of Germany's depot Hanau for the excellent organisation and hospitality. Tackling Medication Shortages with AI. 🌍💊 Medication shortages are a major challenge for Europe's healthcare system. Essential medicines like fever juice, asthma sprays and other medicines are often in short supply. To combat this, PHOENIX group has developed a shortages dashboard. By analyzing data patterns from the 29 countries we operate in, this AI-based tool predicts when and where medicines could become scarce. This allows us to anticipate potential shortages and taking mitigating actions like optimising our inventory and distribution. And most importantly, keeping our customers and partners informed. We are dedicated to collaborating with all stakeholders to ensure patients have access to the medicines they need, when they need them. Meeting of the European Works Council of PHOENIX group 🔔 👉 With a company spread across 29 countries, some transnational issues invariably arise that need to be addressed at that level also. This is a job for our European Works Council, that has been active 20+ years. 👉 In May, the Council held its annual meeting. This time in the Netherlands. Participants from 22 different countries connected to each other and our Executive Board, sharing information on various projects, and discussing the economic and financial framework, as well as current developments in the company. 👉 For the Council members, it was a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues from other countries and share experiences, as well as strengthen ties with our management. 👍 We look forward to continuing to work together for a strong PHOENIX group. #workscouncil #wePHOENIX #netherlands
