Dear Jessica, Exactly six years ago today was your first day at people-s-place GmbH. Back then, we were all still sitting together in our cosy office in Ulm, including our office dog Sansa. Looking back over the last six years, it is fair to say that you have added and contributed a lot to our team, and not just in terms of your creative work in marketing. You are an absolute team player and attach great importance to the fact that we have a good time together as a team, especially when we can get together. Unfortunately, these moments are simply too short. I am very happy that YOU are part of our team. Thank you for your great, (creative) work. But above all, I am very grateful for you as a person! We are excited to share some great news! Our former intern, Erina Disha, is now taking on a new role with us as a Junior International Recruitment Consultant. It is a big moment for us at people-s-place GmbH, showing how much we value growing our own talent and offering real career paths to our interns. Erina was outstanding during her internship, showing a real knack for this work and a genuine enthusiasm for recruitment. We are really thankful that Erina believes in us as the place to start her career journey after graduating. We are all in to make sure this move is successful and enriching for her. At this point, Erina and her teammate Sara are undergoing intense training to get certified in the field of "active sourcing." They are sharpening their skills with The Source Code Agency (CODΞ), taking part in Sourcing Masterclasses that will prepare them for the world of international recruiting. This training will prepare the two to tackle all kinds of recruitment challenges head-on. Investing in our team's growth is key to our work and the service we provide. Erina! I am excited to announce that I will be continuing my career in recruiting as a Junior International Recruiting Consultant at people-s-place GmbH! 🎉 For the past 6 months, I have been working as an International Recruitment Assistant with them during my placement internship. I feel fortunate to be a part of an incredible, supportive, and diverse team of recruiters who are passionate about their work. 🤝 I am eager to learn and grow more with people-s-place! 💪

TIME TO CELEBRATE! On February 17th, 2014, I had one of the most important appointments of my life: Together with my husband and parents, I went to the notary’s office and registered people-s-place GmbH - my own company. My dream of becoming self-employed became reality! 🚀 The desire to start a business had been deeply rooted in me a long time before. As an employed recruitment agent, I was accustomed to working independently and constantly building new sales territories. So, why not take the leap into self-employment? At the age of 31, with two young children at home, I began my adventure. I recall using the early morning hours, when the rest of the family was still fast asleep, to push ahead with my business development. And it paid off: Thanks to my existing network and good references, I was able to secure initial contracts quickly. Just four months later, my first intern joined the team. That was the cherry on top of the cake, as working together makes the job even more enjoyable! Over the past ten years, I have had the privilege of working with over fifty wonderful individuals at people-s-place - from interns to seniors. Seeing how we all grew and developed together is the most beautiful and satisfying feeling. Everyone could learn from each other, and this mutual education enriched us all on so many levels. ✨ I would like to thank my employees and former employees. You helped me shape my company and bring life to it. Working internationally has always been a dream for me. people-s-place has taught me that dreams can come true. ✨ I would like to thank my clients and candidates. 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 "𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸" 𝗶𝗻 𝟴𝘁𝗵-𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 When my child told me that he was writing a class assignment on "the world of work" this week, I pricked up my ears and had to take a close look at what children in 8th grade in Germany are learning in English lessons about work, jobs, interviews and the world of work... I am happy to share my impressions with you here: 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 In Germany, 8th-grade students get a unique experience in their English classes. They are focusing on language skills and exploring the world of work. This approach makes learning more relevant and exciting. Let's dive into what they're being taught.   𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘁 - 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝘀 Students begin by reflecting on their interests and strengths. This self-exploration helps them think about possible future careers.   𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗯𝘀 The curriculum includes information about various jobs and the skills needed for them. This broadens students' understanding of the career possibilities that await them.   𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 - 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘃𝘀. 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 Students learn about two types of skills. Soft skills involve interpersonal abilities like teamwork and problem-solving, while hard skills are job-specific, like technical know-how.   𝗝𝗼𝗯 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 The course also covers job interviews, teaching students to present their experiences and craft an effective CV.   𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗺 They also discuss workplace behavior, effective communication, and feedback dynamics. These lessons are essential for professional success in any field.   𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 Theoretical learning is complemented by group activities, encouraging teamwork and practical application of skills. In 9th grade, students get a taste of the working world with a three-week job assignment.   𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵 This educational model is impressive. It prepares students for real-world challenges and makes them think about their future at an early stage. Above the studio door, he famously hung a sign: "Check your ego at the door." This simple phrase became a cornerstone of collaboration, setting the stage for one of the most successful charity singles in music history.   𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 ⚡ 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 At its core, the recruitment process is a collaborative journey where humility and a willingness to listen take precedence. In my experience as a recruiter, the most successful placements occur when both companies and candidates step forward with open minds, leaving preconceptions and egos at the door.
