With OWIS Engineering we develop and build complete beam handling systems and individual multi-axis alignment and handling systems. Thanks to our know-how and experience especially in the vacuum area, we are able to design our products and solutions for applications in high vacuum (HV), ultra high vacuum (UHV) and extremely high vacuum (XHV). For cleanroom applications, we offer maximum flexibility and a high degree of individuality. This applies both to the adaptation or extension of OWIS standard components and to the development of new and individual OEM solutions. With our own research and development department as well as a very high vertical range of manufacture, we optimally respond to your requirements. This makes OWIS the perfect system partner.     🟢 Avoid almost 1,000 kg of CO2 in 21 days?  It's easy: we tackled our journeys on two wheels instead of four and counted our kilometres. Thanks to #Stadtradeln for this great campaign! With the OWIS team, 12 cyclists have travelled almost 5,500 km! That's roughly the distance from London to New York! 🌏 We even took first place in the "kilometres per head" ranking in Staufen/Germany. Wow!     🔴 Most clicked in May: LIMES 84N Optimum running. High load capacity. Maximum accuracy. 24/7. This makes the LIMES 84N series a popular choice for sample measurement, workpiece positioning and surface inspection with white light interferometry, for example. 💡 Significant for achieving the precision and long service life are the ball screw drive and the recirculating ball bearing guides. Also the LIMES 84N series convinces with: - Travel up to 270 mm - Repeatability (bidirectional): < 2 µm - Load capacity: max. 150 N 💡 Tip for a even higher precision with hardly any change in size: The optionally available incremental measuring system with 50 nm resolution causes an increase in width of only 17.5 mm. However, in combination with our PS 90+ position control unit, the bidirectional repeatability can be improved to < 0.5 µm! 💡 Not to forget:  When setting up several LIMES 84N, the movement axes can be combined as required – for example XY or XYZ.     It's no secret that we are passionate about our high-precision products. So it's even better when we can share this passion with others. The #GirlsDay is an important initiative that aims to give young schoolgirls an insight into technical professions. We were delighted to welcome 5 female participants to Staufen this year. We gave them the opportunity to immerse themselves in our technical departments and experience how high-precision #beamhandlingsystems and #micropositioning units are developed, manufactured, assembled and measured. We would like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who made this day such a success.     🔴 Most clicked in March: KT 65  No wonder – after all, the #XYstage is a very versatile product! From transmitting light applications, such as #microscopy, to experimental set-ups in the #laboratory. By the way, KT is a derivation of the German term "Kreuztisch". This stands for XY stage. 65 indicates the beam height in millimeters.  Here are a just a few facts: 👉Travel: 6 mm 👉 Aperture: 32 mm 👉 Load capacity: 200 N 👉 Two fine-thread spindles and scale heads 👉 Material: deformation-resistant aluminium 👉 Surface: black anodized The KT 65 is available in the basic version with fine-thread spindles and with supplementary options: With wobble plate (T-D35), with pin adapter plate (STA) or as a combination of both (STA-T-D35). Like all our components, the KT 65 can be prepared for use in a #vacuum or #cleanroom on request.
