Das Unternehmen aus dem Münchener Süden produziert Notfallausrüstung, Rucksäcke sowie Funktionsbekleidung aus und mit nachhaltiger Wolle für anspruchsvolle Bergsportlerinnen und Bergsportler – seit 1980. Innovative Ausrüstung, aber auch die umfangreichen Ausbildungsmaßnahmen der ORTOVOX SAFETY ACADEMY mit ihren Praxiskursen sowie digitalen Ausbildungs-Tools tragen täglich dazu bei, den Bergsport ein Stück sicherer zu machen und Menschenleben zu retten.     🌞 ORTOVOX SUMMERSPORTSDAY 2024 🌞 What began early in the morning with a cloudy sky and some rain turned into a dream day with loooots of sunshine and happy faces. Last Friday, the #ORTOVOX crew met at the Moarhof at Samerberg for the Summersportsday 2024. ▶️ After a little snack, the teams set off for #mountainbiking, #hiking and #roadcycling. Because there is hardly anything better than spending time together outdoors doing sports, right? And there was also plenty to do afterwards: from a professional table tennis tournament (👑 kudos to Andrej Zwer and Philipp Mattes) to a delicious barbecue and watching the ⚽European Football Championships together. By the way, even the German national team's painful defeat against Spain couldn't dampen the fantastic mood of the ORTOVOX flock. WHAT A DAY! ✨

    ✨What a start to the new week✨ We at #ORTOVOX were SUPER excited when we spotted Chris Martin from #Coldplay recording the vocal for their new song in our 150 COOL LOGO LS: https://lnkd.in/dYSmbevb. 🎤 Chris Martin shows us that our functional, super comfortable and versatile shirts can not only be worn for ⛰️ mountaineering, but also for creating the next world hit #feelslikeimfallinginlove! 🌿 Here's a little side fact: #Coldplay and ORTOVOX have more in common than one might think at first glance. The topic of #sustainability plays an important role for both. Coldplay has defined several principles for making their Music Of Spheres Tour as sustainable and low-carbon as possible (https://lnkd.in/de8Rxf4s).     Our canteen is not just a canteen. It is the 💜 heart of #ORTOVOX – this is where employees come together, enjoy the delicious #food on the terrace in the sun and catch up. Speaking of food: It is prepared every day by our amazing chef Simon with lots of love, fresh vegetables and herbs from the garden and other organic ingredients. By the way, you can see a tasty spaghetti bolognese cooking in the video. With meat or without, it's up to you to decide 😉. 🌿 This commitment to #quality and sustainability is something we take pride in, ensuring that every meal is not only delicious but also nourishing. Our backpack development manager, Mirella Schmidt, shares your enthusiasm. For Mirella, backpack development is a fascinating quest for innovative solutions, where unpacking the first samples feels like Christmas and Easter combined. Curious to learn more? Get an inside look with Mirella in this Behind the Scenes interview and discover the passion and dedication that go into creating our backpacks!🔍✨ What’s your role as a backpack developer, and how does the development process work? 💬 Mirella: "As a backpack developer, I ensure our backpacks are highly functional and user-friendly. Designed for challenging conditions, they must meet various needs like functionality, comfort, and practicality while providing an exceptional user experience. I am part of a larger team of product managers, designers, material experts, and manufacturers that collaborates closely to achieve this goal. Together, we undergo numerous rounds of testing and feedback. We develop the initial shape and volume prototype in-house, while working in close cooperation with our manufacturers on the workmanship and feature details." What is essential for your job? 💬 Mirella: "I’m a winter person who loves ski touring and freeriding. This passion is crucial to understanding the products and their specific demands. For instance, adjusting your skis to your backpack without removing it in steep terrain is vital for safety. Experiencing these scenarios firsthand is essential for developing functional and reliable backpacks." What inspires you, and what challenges do you face? 💬 Mirella: "Creative ideas often come when you’re outside the office with a clear mind. Much of my research happens during my tours, observing how people use their backpacks and identifying what’s essential for them. One thing that makes my developer heart ache is seeing a helmet net dangling outside a backpack when there’s a zipper pocket for it. 😉 This inspires me to think about what we can do to improve the user experience." What thrives you and keeps you motivated? 💬 Mirella: "Backpacks are fascinating because, unlike clothing, you can't change them during a tour. They must meet all your needs in one piece, making their development both thrilling and challenging. Seeing a backpack I've developed being used in real life is incredibly motivating  –  it means someone else found it compelling enough to buy." Finally, what’s your favorite ORTOVOX backpack? 💬 Mirella: "I love the TRAD 30 DRY. It's versatile yet simple – what’s not to love?"🎒❤️

The German Supply Chain Act is in place since 01.01.2023 and obligates German brands to monitor not only TIER 1 but also their deeper supply chains. Therefore, we developed a #monitoring concept to fulfill its due diligence in an efficient and resource-saving way. The concept contains a #framework for categorizing suppliers into three performance levels considering social and environmental aspects and an automated data query process for the suppliers. "After more than a year of work, we are happy to be able to present a concept that will hopefully help not only ORTOVOX, but also many other companies, to monitor the supply chain and fulfil legal requirements.", Andreas Wolf, CSR Manager Environment, explains. Alongside the Council of the EU, it jointly determines European laws and expenditures, 80% of the laws that affect our climate and environment are decided at an EU level. We at ORTOVOX support the manifesto initiated by Protect Our Winters (POW) calling for continued leadership and maximum ambition in the face of the ecological and climate crisis 🌍🏔. The outdoor community sits in a unique position experiencing the effects of our rapidly changing environment on a daily basis; through the lens of shrinking glaciers, diminishing snowpack, intensified rockfall, and increased extreme weather events 🧗♀️🌦. We believe in the power of democracy, the power of community and the power of everyone’s individual voice.     OF GLACIERS, RIDGES AND KNOWING YOUR LIMITS 🏔️ ORTOVOX athletes Lena Koller and Marlies Czerny, alongside ORTOVOX Communication Manager, Tanja Gutheil, set out on an exciting high alpine tour to the majestic Piz Palü, each with their own level of experience and expertise 🧗♀️. For Tanja, a first-time high alpine adventurer, the journey was a test of courage and resilience. Despite being super sporty, she was a greenhorn on glaciers and ridges. Lena, fueled by her ambition to become a mountain guide, and Marlies, a seasoned freelance author with a wealth of alpine knowledge, joined her in this epic adventure 👩👩👧. As Marlies aptly puts it, “Choosing a tour that doesn’t overtax anyone, but still challenges them, requires careful consideration. If you find the right dose, everyone can develop in leaps and bounds.” Indeed, amidst the shroud of August clouds, Piz Palü presented a formidable challenge ☁. Conditions fluctuated unpredictably, testing the team's resolve with each step. Decisions, big and small, were made non-stop. Are we as a rope team up to these conditions? How far can we go before it stops being fun? When does it stop making sense? Where are we going? Left, right? Where should we belay? It is this constant comparison with reality that makes high alpine tours so intense. “You learn so much in just a few hours,” continues Tanja, “For me, it is exactly these decisions that are unusual and exciting.” Whereas for Marlies, an experienced mountaineer, taking responsibility feels good, “In a time when responsibility is often shifted onto others,” says Marlies, “it feels all the more enriching when you take the rope into your own hands – and this can also be metaphorically applied to life.” For Tanja, the support of her teammates proved invaluable, fostering a sense of camaraderie and trust. “In my view, girls are more sensitive, more empathetic, take care of each other and celebrate the experience together.”, she shares. This dedication fuels our daily efforts, as we put extensive work and heart into creating #innovative, #functional and #sustainable products. Seeing it all come together and presenting the new ORTOVOX SUMMER 2025 COLLECTION to our sales experts and partners from all around the world is one of the special moments of the year🙏. Yesterday marked the start of our two-day sales meeting at the ORTOVOX headquarters in Taufkirchen. Following a warm welcome and opening remarks by CEO Christian Schneidermeier and Director of Sales & Marketing Stefan Kohlbauer, our international partners received an exclusive first look at the Summer 2025 Collection. They had the opportunity to experience the sophisticated design and functionalities of our products firsthand. Ending the day with a Bavarian Evening, they also had the chance to immerse themselves in the #ORTOVOXcommunity feeling. Kindness, joy, and positive vibes mingled with Bavarian music from our live band, great food, and traditional games, such as beer mug lifting and nail hammering. This created a unique experience and fostered an unforgettable atmosphere 🙌 . "It was a successful first day of ORTOVOX’s International Sales Meeting. Our new collection received fantastic feedback, and we had an incredible time with our global guests, fostering valuable exchanges and showcasing the true spirit of togetherness at ORTOVOX," summarizes Stefan Kohlbauer.
