KmB Technologie develops and produces in small and large series along the entire value chain, focusing on cutting as well as non-cutting machining technologies that enable the production of high-end solutions for a strong customer base, including renowned OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. With its wide range of manufacturing processes and modular production systems for the automotive industry and aluminium processing, KmB Technologie is an ideal addition to the companies in the FerrAl United Group. Synergies are expected in the areas of suppliers, customers and production processes. The company generated revenues of approx. EUR 100 million in 2023 with significant growth potential. The new acquisition is intended to further expand the FerrAl United Group's forging and machining footprint in the USA and realize cross-selling and production synergies within the Group. Johannes Laumann, who was a member of the Mutares Management Board from 2019 to 2023 and asked the Supervisory Board for a personal sabbatical in November 2023, will return to his former position as Chief Investment Officer (CIO) on the Management Board. Johannes Laumann, who has significantly driven the Group's growth during his time on the Management Board and helped to develop the Group's revenues from around EUR 1 billion to EUR 3.5 billion in four years, will be responsible for Mutares' M&A activities and in particular the internationalization of the Group. The Supervisory Board of Mutares also appoints Dr Lennart Schley to the Management Board of Mutares. Dr Lennart Schley has worked for Mutares for almost 14 years and was most recently responsible for key subsidiaries within the Group as Segment Head. Dr Lennart Schley started at Mutares as a manager and has made a remarkable development up to the Management Board of the Group. With around 410 employees and three main offices in Kraków, Rzeszów and Olsztyn, they are well positioned to address the growing Polish market, but also provide their experience in cross-border projects in the UK, Germany and the Nordics. In 2023, the companies generated revenues of approx. EUR 36 million. Within the next months, the companies will continue their expansion efforts within Poland and neighbouring countries, in the high-voltage segment, capitalizing on enormous demand driven by energy transformation.
